Our campaign seeks to address this injustice and advocate for the retirement of this offensive mascot. The funds raised will directly support our efforts to:
- Travel to these five states to engage with school boards, administrators, students, and community members in open dialogue, fostering understanding and advocating for change.
- Provide legal support to highlight violations of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which prohibits discrimination based on disability in public schools.
- Develop and distribute educational materials that explain the harmful history of the term, the impact on the Little People community, and the importance of fostering an inclusive school culture.
