Dr. Jennifer Arnold
Meet Dr. Jennifer Arnold. A pediatrician, advocate, and parent of two children with dwarfism, Dr Jennifer Arnold is a passionate voice for inclusion and respect. As a leader in disability advocacy, she stands with Mascots Matter to call for the retirement of harmful mascots that perpetuate outdated stereotypes. In her words:
โThe continued use of the word โmidgetโ as a school mascot is deeply hurtful toward the dwarfism community, my community. This term is a derogatory slur, not a way to describe people with dignity, and its use perpetuates harmful stereotypes.โ
